Tommy: WAM Intensified

Today our Hope Brisbane church were having WAM Intensified. WAM stand for Worship, Arts and Media is one of the church Ministry which are Worship and Creative Arts Ministry. I think I came this meeting is not by accident. Brother Tochie share about solidify the foundation, the team and the Talent.

Solidify the Foundations

To help every member in the WAM department focus the right standings with God in their perosnla lives and libes in the Worship & Creative Arts Ministry.
To encourage every member build deeper in their spiritual foundations by acquiring an authentic worship lifestyle, a regular prayer life and devotion in God's Word.
To raise and uphold the standards of WAM ministers across all the areas of specialization in the Worship & Creative Arts Ministry.

Solidify the Team

To foster unity and synergy in the whole WAM department & across all the streams.
To create and foster biblical culture aming the WAM members.
To build a God-centred community of workshippers & artists who are humble, God-honouring, energetic and willing to serve.

Solidify the Talents

To equip, train and prepare WAM ministrers in life with God, knowledge in the Word and essential skills for more effective Worship & Creative Arts Ministry.
To help every member not only discover his/her place and passion in the Worship & Creative Arts Ministry but also pursue a spirit of excellence to use his/her gifting and abilities with commitment for God's service within the local church and beyond.
To stratefically position and prepare every member for the chruch 2010 plan.

This are the three important things share by our brother Torchie. Post it for people can't make it for the WAM meeting. I so encourage by brother Touchie today and learn of thins, for example the church need creating relevant environments. Why? Because so that we can meet theirs needs in life, sharing the message with relevant to them so that able to touch theirs life.

Relevance is using what is Cultural to say what is Timeless
If we need to stay Relevant, we need to....

Learng to distunguish between what is Cultural and What is Timeless.
Never assume what worked Yesterday should work Today.
Communicate content for the sake of Application not just Information.
